Which resurfacing treatment is right for me?
You do not have to decide alone. Texture, tone, pigment, acne scars, and fine lines can all improve with resurfacing, and the right tool depends on your skin and how much recovery you can spare. During your complimentary Treatment Plan we look at your skin and recommend the device that fits, whether that is SkinPen microneedling, a laser facial, or fractional laser resurfacing.
How much downtime should I expect?
It depends on the device, and we tell you honestly before you book. SkinPen usually means a day or two of redness, Hollywood Spectra and non-ablative laser resurfacing keep recovery short, Pixel asks for a few days of social downtime, and fractional CO2 asks for the most recovery in exchange for the most dramatic change. We plan stronger treatments around your calendar so you are never caught off guard.
What can skin resurfacing actually treat?
Resurfacing helps reduce the look of rough texture, uneven tone, sun damage, enlarged pores, acne scarring, and early fine lines by removing damaged surface cells and stimulating new collagen. It changes the quality of your skin rather than lifting it, so if laxity is your main concern we will talk about that during your plan.
Is resurfacing safe for my skin tone?
Some lasers and light treatments carry a pigmentation risk for deeper skin tones, which is exactly why device selection matters. SkinPen microneedling is safe for all skin tones, and for laser treatments we choose the settings and device that are appropriate for your skin. Your provider walks you through the honest trade-offs at your consultation.
How much does treatment cost?
